“1st date” vs “a word from our sponsors”
July 4, 2008when it comes to people knowing/pretending to know who i am, if they dont know me from tanya morgan they know a) von sees b) 1st date or c) a word from our sponsors.
i always get comments about the song “1st date” that i did with nicolay, but in my opinion the best “oh okay, i heard of you…whatever…” song is c, a word from our sponsors. i dont really get comments about that but a lot of people seem to like 1st date, especially women for some reason.

Honestly, I have not really heard all of 1st Date, even though I’m fans of both the producer and the lyricist on the song… So the default has gotta be “A Word from Our Sponsors”
i gotta go with 1st date cuz nicolay is the man, and along with von sees and the mama joint on custom fitted (nic produced right?) makes me want you 2 to do an album together, but thats just me.

the first track i heard you on was “a word…” and that was tight enough to have me start searching for “this guy” and “his team called tanya” so personally i have to go with that. (taking absolutely nothing away from the dopeness of 1st date and von sees). You couldnt go wrong with any of them though.
