i dont care how dope the beat is, im not “freestyling” over noone elses beat unless they personally ask me to for the remix or something. consider “further adventures…” a swan song.

i dont do it on purpose, i get the urge to do it. “nobody” was an urge. “vonye” was an urge. “further…” was an urge i fought for a few months (lol this shit sounds like i have a smoking habit) but i gave in. im not doing it anymore. ever again. and random freestyles and shit?

im not with that riddim/dub plate shit man. lol…its being done as friendly competition and all jokes aside thats dope as hell to me. everyone wanted to be the best on swagger like us/incredible/a milli and thats a good thing, but its just really hard for me to do that too. “get busy” on che’s mixtape was supposed to be us on swagger like us. i wrote like 3 or 4 verses and they werent even wack, i just couldnt do that beat knowing everyone else did. i kept trying to do a verse that felt right on it but it wasnt about that, it was me feeling like i was following instead of doing it as friendly competition. as much “sucka mc” shit as i talk on songs, i just dont have that competitive spirit in me, im not worried about other niggas like that, im just happy doing me. im the guy in the marathon just happy to finish. i cant be mad at another rapper for real. (i said for real at the end of my sentence…ha im on my Cincinnati shit!)

i said all that to say this…i hope you downloaded and enjoyed/will continue to enjoy “further adventures of von pea…” because if im lucky its the last time ill be doing that. 2009 sees tanya morgan “brooklynati” coming in april, aeon and i got some ep shit cookin, che and i got some ep shit cookin, and if im lucky “peas gotta have it” will see the light of day next year. no more “other niggas instrumentals”
