Track 15 – Just Arrived (Now What?)

when he sent it he didnt add a bassline yet, so I added one. and sometimes you just hear things, and I heard noises and shit so…I added noises and shit. just like in plan b. im now im a witness protection program. its okay though, he still has 2 songs on pea’s gotta have it. I didnt add noises and shit to them. promise.

oh and ilyas is going to kick my ass for censoring his verse too. the moral of the story here is keep me out of the post production room haha…nah im joking, they arent mad at me. anymore.

this song was supposed to be all the complaining on the album but we couldnt just complain on one song! what do we look like, animals?!?!?!???

The song can be looked at like this: dons verse leads to the feeling in ilyas’ verse. that leads to the person in dons verse telling you what you need to do and then you get my verse. its a loose version of the chicken and egg story. the advice on what we need to do, it coming down to music becoming more disposable because of its free accessibility, the starving artist frustration, its a cycle. honestly im not in a complaining mind state at all right now (office space pea) so I dont want to spend too much time on this one. i love the 5 bar hook/24 bar verse structure though. stepped away from the 8/16/8/16/8/16 /8/fadeout template on this one and it worked like a charm.

the whole album starts with us being “on our way”, ilyas jr. wondering if we’re there yet throughout the album, and we finally arrive at the end. now where to next?
